At Last

Finally got the video project complete! i'll admit i had my reservations abut it and didnt get everything i wanted but overall i am satisfied cuz its funny as hell. No doubt we're gonna have the best short in the class. As for the audio project, i'm gonna bust a hale mary tomorrow morning (in about 5hrs) to get it all edited and done. Worst comes to worst, i burn a cd of what we have and call it even. So the semester is over. A lot of hard work this time around, ok bout the same as usual but learned a lot and then some.

So we finished shooting finally, it didnt go as planned. I didnt get one or two shots I was hoping for and the audio bombed on us but all in all I'm pretty grateful. It was a good learning experience and we got the job done for all intents and purposes. I learned I really gotta hone my director skillz, and be a better planner. For now I'll just stick to writing (which I've been told is my strong point) and next semester do something extraordinary. Now if we could just edit it to see what we've got. Also, i gotta get in the audio studio to finish editing the audio project. Honestly I'm looking more forward to that than the video project and the paper i have been procrastinating on writing...

Next Week

This week has been hell, little sleep and much too much work. Excited to be finally shooting the video on Sunday though. Tomorrow/Today we're going to be recording the audio project. I didn't come up with a script this tie but i hope all goes well. I remember it it was soo much easier to go into the studio with a plan than without but I'm exhausted. I don't even think i finished my flash projects.

This week went by extremely fast. I rewrote some of the video script for this week, recuruted an actor or two and have been trying to get everyone together for the audio project. We may do something simple like apple vs pc argument but that's not 100%. It hasnt been easy getting everyone on the same page, with conflicting schedules, work ethics, and sheer communication issues, this project wont be easy. Its too bad we don't meet up for class that would make things so much easier but its not an option so i guess we'll keep chukin. Having a littlw problems with flash but hopefuly i can get it all figured out soon

Another Post

i'm a little confused as to what week is what, but i guess i have to write another blog cuz i turned in last weeks assignment even tho i was pretty sure i have been on top of everything. anyways, script has been re-edited, its not the directors cut but sacrafices have to be made. Im gonna get with the DP on the 22nd hopefully and shoot this sucker. I hope we will be able to get the group too and the actor i want. If not we're doing it guerrilla style. My website looks hella sick and all the links are working just fine so i just got that audio project i wish i didnt have to do and a few flash banners and i'm all caught up. Gotta keep that 4.0 up!

And the weeks drag on

Time has been going by pretty fast as of lately. I still have much to do and soo little time to accomplish it. I began re-editing the scrip o condense it and it is by far harder than writing the original script. It just doenst make as much sense in the rewrite but that's life and if it make it easier in the long run i'm all for it. Even more difficult is getting everybody available to work on the project. Its been hell trying to get Tony, the equipment, and myself together. Next thing we're gonna need is our star actor and his schedule and everyone who's available to work on it. I'm thinking worst comes to worse i'll use my roommates for this little thing. All we really need is a boom op and a grip so we could definitely do it. i'm glad i don't have to worry about the personal video project but the audio one requires another script and im already working on 3! SHiT

Week #?

SO i got up to date on my flash. That stuff is kinda complicated after all. I always forget how to do stuff and end up going on websites to learn how to do stuff. Gratefully i got one or two people who can help me too. Me and Anthony are meeting soon, probably on Tuesday after our FPS meeting to talk about the script. Definitely lagging on renting equipment though. If we can't get a good camera, i figure we mine as well shoot it from a handheld camera in the same fashion that quarantine and Cloverfield was shot with the exception that it will be more of a documentary and a lot less action oriented. Gonna go talk to the IRC in a few.

So the script is finished. Me n tony are gonna sit down sometime next week and get all the bugs out. its pretty funny but then again, would you expect any less;) I asked one of my theater commrades if he would lik to act in it and he said he wuldnt mind but he wasnt available till mid november so i might have to go with my 2nd n third choices. we'll see. This week has gone by pretty fast. Im not done with the script as i thought I'd be and I wont be able to attend class because I'm going home fro a few days. This means imma miss the review but its not every weekend I go home. I think i should start checking equipment out to film but w/o a full script and a list of crew I dunno. I don't even know who going to act in it. Guess I could use some theater kids. Still haven't mastered the ftp thing for adding my dreamweaver code to my web page. Kinda sux.

still rollin'

Im 1/3 finished with the script and the majority of what needs to come has already been thought out. Its a pretty funny script (if i may say so myself) and as soon as it's complete I'll be sure to post it. We're having a little problem communicating throughout the group as it looks like im the only one who communicates to one of our memebers and only one communicates to me. So we sort of have an island group. Hoping to clear this up before we go o shoot the script.
I get the feeling the class is moving pretty fast now because I was talking to one or two people and they're both behind in some aspect of the class. A lot of it has to do with acquiring the technology. Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver....ect, are not the cheapest and it almost makes buying a textbook that we'll never use again, seem plausible...almost.

And the weeks keeps rolling...

This week my group and I have a solid idea for our 30 sec. group project. It's essentially about one guy whos day gets progressively worse until he dies. Should be great. Hoping to input some drama as well as some comedy into it. So far looks like i'm writing it and Tony's gonna be shooting it, just have to finish the script and see what eveyone else wants to do. Im currently having some problems uploading my website from dreamweaver and i also have to fix one or two issues but other than that everything is going smoothly.

And the next week...

Still no solid word on the group project. Iv'e been writing a script but its not easy enough to film for this class. Went to Seattle for the furlough day so I should really get caught up in finishing my web page among other things. So far my zombie thing is turning out to be pretty bad ass, i just have to finish the buttons, change the colors, add titles, and change the headings on the auxiliary pages and I'll be done. Here's to hoping i finish before 1A.M.

Next Next Week Of School

The groupmates nor myself have decided on what to do. Probably going to meet up soon to discuss what we need to do to get our project rolling. I initially said i wanted to do a comedy and even came up with a small storyboard about an abducted zombie but now I'm considering suggesting something a little serious like a drama. Maybe we'll do a series on a guy who constantly has bad luck, or a bunch of shorts based off the FML's. Thad be great.

Next of School

Started off pretty insane, did'nt go to a BBQ at the beach like i wanted, and to make matter worse i couldn't get that new TV I've been drooling about for the past three weeks. If i order it online, im going to be forced to endure another week in purgatory so i'm thinking i just might say F'it and spring the bones to get a set to play my guitar hero on...we'll see

First Week Of School

The first week of school was pretty aggravating for me. It wasn't that I could not add classes like many people were stressing over, it was that i could not SWITCH classes to get a much better professor. I was really hoping that since i paid my dues and got in to one of the sections, I could at least choose the more qualified teacher. But no dice. The chair said to just stay in my section so now I'm being forced to take a sub-par class with someone who is better off teaching something else. I'll make the best of it. I also really wanted my fin-aid to kick in so I could go out on the weekend w/o worrying about cheese...well it didn't come in and i went out anyway...whoops
